Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa held last May 9th the 2015 ‘Of Veils and Trails’ Bridal Fair. Of Veils and Trails (A Graceful Stride to Forever) is Shangri-La Mactan’s annual wedding fair which assembles some of the best and biggest names in the local wedding industry. The event drew hundreds of soon-to-be-wed couples who wish to take advantage of the fair’s special deals and, of course, the long list of trusted suppliers who joined the event. 1. 23 Trusted and Reliable Exhibitors
Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa was able to gather 23 of the biggest and best wedding suppliers this side of the world. The event was basically a one-stop shop for couples as everything they could ever need – from invites to floral arrangements to wedding gowns – was there.
2. Amazing Venue
The event was held at one of the resort’s most popular events places — the Marquee. The place is beautiful both inside and out and can be perfect for both huge celebrations and intimate gatherings.
3. Showcase of Cebuano Talent
Some of the finest Cebuano talents were present to entertain the guests. Fashion designer and songstress Kate Torralba serenaded the crowd with a couple of songs while top Cebuano violinist Jake Juleous Gacang entertained guests which his amazing talent and undeniable stage presence.
4. Unique Culinary Showcase
Guests enjoyed the resort’s amazing buffet spread created just for the occasion. There was an endless supply of cakes, fruits, coolers, noodles, Filipino finger foods, and a whole lot more.
5. Amazing Raffle Prizes
Just for the occasion, Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa gave out numerous raffle prizes to several lucky guests. Prizes include dinner for two at the resort’s restaurants, gift certificates, and free stays in some of the chain’s most popular properties all over the world.

6. The Cake Tower and the Cake Ladies
If there was something that grabbed the crowd’s attention at the event, it would have to be the gigantic cake tower at the buffet area. And don’t forget about the cake ladies. These ladies did not pop out of the cake tower, however. They WERE the cake towers.
7. Free-flowing Wine
Wedding and special dinners can never be complete without a good serving of wine. Of course, Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort and Spa knew about this. Which was why guests had access to free-flowing wine during the whole event.
